This is so cool.

Students from Raton New Mexico traveled to the State Capitol in Santa Fe earlier this year to participate in the 2013 Legislative Session and the passing of the Limited Liability bill that was so crucial to Spaceport America’s success.

Raton New MexicoAccording to the Raton Range, Virgin Galactic officials Mark Butler and Bruce Jackson, respectively senior program manager and vice president for trade controls and export strategies, took an interest and “visited Raton earlier this week to meet with students and the community to discuss Virgin Galactic’s support for a local career training center to allow students educational opportunities in aerospace-related careers. The company’s support comes after Raton schools Superintendent Dave Willden agreed to have the school district back the Informed Consent Act.”

Congrats Raton students!
