Join astronomy professor Dr. John T. Stocke for Constellations of Ancient Cultures, a night-sky program under Kingston’s dark skies.

Learn how the stars move, discover prominent constellations, and hear myths and legends from ancient and indigenous cultures. Topics include star lore, the zodiac, and celestial navigation.

Schedule of events:

  • 6:30 PM: Potluck supper (outdoors)
  • 8:00 PM: Indoor presentation – Native American Star Knowledge
  • After dark: Stargazing with Dr. Stocke, who’ll use a high-powered laser pointer

Bring a warm jacket and flashlight.
