In 2027, Psychedelic Assisted Therapy will be legal for credentialed therapists to practice in New Mexico. This community gathering brings together a powerful film screening, meaningful dialogue, and an optional immersive sound healing experience — designed for both community members and practitioners.
The event begins with a psychedelic therapy information session at Emergence NM, followed by a film screening ofThe Next Chapter at the El Cortez Theater at 1pm. A sound bath will be hosted by Emergence in the late afternoon.

- 9:00 – 12pm – Morning Education Session: Understanding Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy and the NM nautral medicine landscape.
Venue: Emergence Healing & Expressive Arts Center, 134 N Broadway
Presented by Trip Hōm, this session offers a grounded, accessible introduction to psychedelic-assisted therapy (PAT) — what it is, how it works, and what current research and clinical practice actually show. Trip Hōm’s trauma-informed approach brings both depth and honesty to the conversation, making space for questions whether you’re a practitioner exploring the field or a community member simply curious about the growing role PAT is playing in mental health care. This session sets the context for the film and panel that follow. - 1:00–3:00pm — Film Screening: The Next Chapter, followed by community panel and Q&A Venue: El Cortez, 415 Main
The Next Chapter is a deeply personal documentary following adults over 55 as they explore psychedelic-assisted therapy to address depression, anxiety, grief, and unfinished inner work. Through intimate, story-driven portraits, the film looks beyond the science to the human experience — what it means to reflect, heal, and begin again later in life. - 4:00–5:30pm — Immersive Sound Healing
Venue: Emergence NM, 134 N Broadway
Close out the day with a guided sound bath — a restorative, fully immersive experience using resonant instruments to support deep relaxation and nervous system regulation. This is a way to explore altrered states of consciousness outside of natural medicine. No experience is necessary; simply arrive ready to lie down, breathe, and let the sound do the rest. This is an integrative space to process anything that surfaced during the film and panel, offered as a gentle way to complete the day. We will spend the last portion of time in a closing circle integrating our day together.

- Community Partial Package (no sound bath): This ticket is for community members to experience the PAT education session in the morning and then attend the film screening. Opting out of the immersive sound healing experience.
