Head to Hillsboro to learn local history at “The Cowboy Sheriff of Sierra County, NM, 1865-1920,” a presentation by Karl Laumbach. Laumbauch will talk about the fascinating life of Francisco M. Bojorquez, who was born and raised in the State of Sonora, Mexico, where he learned the trade of vaquero. After moving to Sierra County, Bojorquez served as sheriff and county commissioner, and managed the famed Ladder Ranch for 17 years.
