Get the scoop on foster parenting with the New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD) at a free ice cream social at Johnny B’s in Truth or Consequences.
Along with free ice cream dessert, CYFD staff will be available to answer questions about foster parenting opportunities. Foster parenting offers the chance to make a difference in the life of a New Mexico child. In New Mexico, there are currently more than 2,000 children in protective custody with CYFD due to abuse and neglect in their home. Locally, there is an urgent need for more foster homes.
